Guest Designer at 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello Hello :))

Well its a wet start to the week but I LOVE the sound of soft rain hitting the roof.

I was so fortunate and honoured to be asked to Guest Design for 2Crafty Chipboard for the next 3 months. I love chipboard, its so versatile and its a great embellishment to add to your projects which in the can end up telling the rest of the story.

Because its the month of LOVE I couldn't help but do a layout of myself and my husband.  Rarely do I scrap about anything else other than my boys so it was great to do something different and a little girly too! I quickly snapped this photo of the 2 of us on New Years Day on my phone, its not perfect but it was a happy day and a happy moment and we have so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward too!

"You are the Key to My Heart"

LOVE the gorgeous Glitz papers, so so and pretty especially with the added Prima flowers.

The Hearts a Flutter chipboard border which I distressed with Crackle paint and some Shimmerz.  Full details on how I altered my chipboard can be found HERE.

The word phrase from 2Crafty was so gorgeous, I had to place it over the top of my cluster.

Love the vintage keys which I also shabbied up!

Next up are some cards which I did for Manor House Creations. Using a combination of Glitz, Echo Park and Pink Paislee.

Well that's all for now....BUT did you know that Paper Stories have released 2 very gorgeous kits!

Mine should be arriving any day in the mail now...can't wait to have a play!  don't miss out, gets yours today!!

Till next time

Catching up....

Hi everyone,

Its the weekend here and its beautiful so I am only going to make this quick as I have loads of other family things to do :))

I have a huge amount of work that needs sharing so I will only show you are few today and hopefully over the next week or so I will get the rest up on the blog.

Here are a few projects I did last year for Manor House Creations

We were very fortunate on our holiday last year to visit many theme parks.  For Finlay's 4th birthday we celebrated the day down at Seaworld on the Gold Coast.  Oh we had a blast...such a terrific place for kids (and adults...lol!!), one of the highlights of the day was visiting Dinosaur Island.  Anyway I have oodles of photos which I plan to do a mini album but there are a couple photos that I particularly wanted to scrap.  This one was one of them.  There was a truck ride where they could actually hop in these miniature trucks...oh they were cute and you couldn't wipe the grins off the boys faces!  Honking the horn and (pretend) steering was priceless...

We were asked to create a fun/bright layout and I knew exactly what to do. I loved creating the sunburst effect using a Crafters Workshop template, Gesso and highlighting with lots of different shades of Shimmerz.

"Truck'n Fun"

Gorgeous papers are from Basic Grey Soleil range and the Manor House flowers complimented them beautifully.

Kaisercraft chipboard birds highlighted and outlined with shimmerz and TA glimmermist.

Next is another layout created for Manor House.  I had so much fun tearing and distressing not to mention lots of fun adding texture.

"Carefree & Perfect"

Beautiful papers from My Minds Eye and I kept with the hexagon theme which was on the paper by cutting out some hexagon shapes and using some Dusty Attic hexagon chipboard.

Love the grey tones with the pinks and sea green... :))

Well that is all for now...off to have some fun with my boys.

Thanks so much for visiting and hope you all have a good weekend :))

Paper Stories February Sketch Challenge

Good Morning everyone,

Just quickly popping up the February Sketch Challenge for Paper Stories!  I was super excited to see that Page Drafts are doing our sketches for this year.   Feel free to interpret it, use one or 4 photos, flip it, rotate it and make it yours!!

Sketch:

This is such an awesome sketch! I decided to use a landscape photo instead of two photos and my favourite stamp from Coco Daisy....The Coffee and Tea Ring Stamp...for all the circle elements. Loads of Shimmerz products used on this layout, washi tape, 7Gypsies gaffer tape, masking tape and Basic Grey papers.

"Friends Forever"

I have added lots of old rubons randomly to this layout as well...gosh I forgot how fun they can be! :))

Up for grabs is a fantastic prize pack from ILS & MME!!

Happy Scrapping :))
